A Cambridge-based technology company with a broad distribution channel globally are looking to
recruit a Marketing Assistant to join their small, but dynamic, marketing team.
Their established partnerships allow them to create and deliver products that are at the cutting-
edge of design, and they’re looking for a marketing assistant to be just as passionate about
their brand as they are.
The role will be broad and varied, offering a furthered step into marketing. Assisting with and
implementing marketing plans, you’ll also coordinate the company calendar for all marketing
activities, ensuring that the coordination of company events goes smoothly and without a hitch.
Alongside this, there will also be the opportunity to support the PR campaign programme, and
maintain and update the company website, adding minor additions and changes that overall can make
a huge difference to customer experience.
Reporting into the Marketing Manager, you’ll get to unleash your creative side with managing and
maintaining marketing collateral and working on direct marketing and email campaigns, ensuring
that the company and its products are always portrayed in the best light.
Although you’ll be working within a team of three people on a day-to-day basis, you’ll also form
key relationships outside of your team to enable successful internal communications and make sure
that every department is on the same page. As the successful candidate, you’ll work alongside
other departments including Engineering, Finance, Production and Sales.
So, what do you need to make sure you’re the winning candidate? A degree in Marketing/Business or
a relative discipline or qualification is necessary, and previous experience of working within a
Marketing/Communications role will also come in useful.
Strong IT skills are crucial, along with a good grasp of Microsoft Office software and Adobe
Creative Suite. However, if you’re willing to learn and have the initiative, the company will be
more than happy to provide the training you need.
Are you word-savvy and fancy yourself as the creative type? The ability to proof-read and content
write is also desirable, along with practical experience of using CMS for websites and social
media channels. Being digitally aware in this company will make sure you stand out from other
candidates.
In exchange for your dedication and commitment to the role, the company will offer excellent
career and development opportunities, along with a competitive salary and benefits package. Still
