Norwich Primary Academy is looking for a teaching assistant to work in a range of year groups, on a one-year fixed-term basis from September 2017. This role would be ideal for anyone looking to extend their skills in working with children ahead of teacher training, although we are equally interested in more experienced applicants.
NPA is now a ‘good’ school with many elements of outstanding practice. We have been on what has been a challenging journey at times to move us to this position and there is still progress to be made. We are looking for the right person to work with us to continue this move towards outstanding. 
Teaching assistants at NPA provide a range of classroom support which can include teaching groups of children under the direction of a teacher for Read, Write Inc phonics sessions. The role will involve supporting groups and individuals with special educational needs and implementing ‘next step plans’. TAs supervise classes for our daily ‘prep’ session with KS2 children of Accelerated Reader independent reading. TAs also undertake half an hour of lunchtime supervision daily.
Our aim is to provide an outstanding academic education together with excellent pastoral care. The successful post holder will need to be relentlessly positive together with an unwavering belief that all children can achieve great things.

Price / Salary: Scale E £14,782 - £16,474 (£18,070 - £20,138 pro rata)
