Prospectus is delighted to be partnering with an leading organisation as they search for a Head of Charity Partnerships to join the senior management team. The organisation distributes new surplus consumer products from manufacturers and retailers to UK charities working at home and abroad. The organisation helps charities save money and extend their services. The Head of Charity Partnerships is central to the organisation's growth and development.

This role will be responsible for developing the organisation's network through leading the partnerships team in growing existing charities in the network and researching and developing new relationships throughout the UK. This involves working very closely with the SMT and the communications team to get the message out to charities in all regions of the UK. The organisation is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year with a schedule of events which includes exciting opportunities to broaden and expand the number of charities benefiting. This position will be responsible for cultivating and recruiting a network of regional volunteers for the first time who will represent the organisation locally. This role will be a combination of commercially driving the day to day business of the charity forward with attention to detail and ability to produce statistics and set efficient processes whilst ensuring the empathetic and relational ethos of the organisation is observed and celebrated.

The successful candidate will be a smart and resourceful person with sound business acumen and extensive charity sector management experience, educated to degree level or the equivalent. Sharp, highly organised and diplomatic when necessary, this person will be able to translate the needs of the charity sector to those who are not necessarily clear on what the charity sector is all about. The ability to manage and influence team members and stakeholders alike will be core to this role in addition to being comfortable working with targets and deadlines in a creative and pragmatic manner. A good sense of humour is essential as is a durable and resilient nature. This person will be core to the success and sustainability of this already very successful charity.

This role is offered on a part-time (3 day per week) basis

Price / Salary: £40000 per annum
