Stepping Stones Course Programme Coordinator
21 hours per week
Scale Point 32, £30,025 per annum pro rata
(Actual £1,501 per month)
Plus 4% employer pension
Mind in Harrow is a leading mental health charity based in NW London. We have a dynamic and creative team of 30 full and part-time staff and over 100 volunteers with an excellent reputation and driven by a strong user empowerment ethos.
The Stepping Stones Project is a highly successful course programme run in mainstream community settings and accessible to people experiencing mental health problems in Harrow.  The project, which has run for over 15 years, aims to support learners’ mental health recovery by overcoming social isolation and building self-confidence through recreational and educational courses.
The postholder will be responsible for supervising delivery two types of courses: a grant-funded programme offering up to 4 courses per term funded and quality assured by the Council’s adult community learning dept and 2 personal budget-funded courses which are ongoing and designed to support learners with higher needs. Both course activity programmes include a mix of creative, physical activity and practical topics offered by suitably qualified tutors. The postholder will line-manage two part-time staff who support the programme delivery.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual with experience of supporting people experiencing mental health problems and a track record of marketing services, engaging learners from diverse communities and collaborating with other organisations.  You will have excellent project coordination skills and ideally an understanding of adult community learning policy & practice and personal budgets.
The successful applicant will be required to complete an enhanced Disclosure & Barring service application (DBS).
