The Rockefeller Foundation Economic Council offers a unique opportunity for an experienced, environmental policy and communications expert to shape the growth of an entirely new field of research field: that of planetary health. Working as part of a small secretariat located at the Oxford Martin School, you will lead a programme of research on the nexus between environmental health and human health (engaging consultants/outside bodies as necessary) and provide strategic and policy advice and guidance for Council members and the Council’s Executive Secretary.
You will also develop, promote, implement and evaluate consistent and compelling communications for the Council and its members and act as the internal communications expert for the Council. A confident and credible communicator, you will hold a PhD/DPhil and possess significant post-qualification experience in environmental policy or communications. Along with an established (inter)national reputation, you will be able to demonstrate an ability to provide policy-relevant analysis and manage media networks.
