Salary: Grade 3 – (SCP 12-17) - £16,123- £17,722 pro rata. This equates to £13,790 - £15,158

Parkwood E-ACT Academy, awarded a ‘good’ from Ofsted in 2014, is a highly respected and supportive specialist language and sports academy based in the north of Sheffield, easily accessible from the M1/ A1 motorway network. We moved into our state of the art building over Easter 2012: as well as serving a practical purpose, the new buildings and facilities at Parkwood E-ACT Academy have been designed to inspire the pupils and staff who use them.
With improving standards, our expectations are high!
We are now looking to appoint an enthusiastic and proactive support worker to further enhance our EAL provision.
The role will involve;
Promoting good student behaviour around the academy
Assisting with communication and translating for other members of staff
Working with families of EAL students to improve attendance and the achievement of students
Improve parental attendance at parents evening
Running intervention groups to rapidly improve English skills
Help with reintegration of students re-entering mainstream lessons
