VW Passat W8 finished in reflex silver with black leather interior. I have owned this rare and unusual car for 2 years and had a lot of enjoyment. I am now downsizing, too many toys in the toy box. Mileage will increase as I'm still using it.

Plenty of information is available on-line about the W8. It is no ordinary Passat. It is equipped with a 4 lt petrol, 8 cylinder engine with Audi's mechanical Quattro 4WD underneath (Torsen differentials) On top of this it has an electronic system. The body shell is significantly stiffened over the ordinary Passat and W8s are fitted with extended range fuel tanks. The fantastic engine is rated at 275 bhp with a linear power delivery, deceptively fast, quiet, quick off the mark and capable of over 30 mpg on a run. Shifting manually with the tiptronic really lets it fly. The 4WD allows it to drive over fresh snow with summer tyres and does an incredible job of staying on the road on black ice with winter tyres (I've done it)

This car has a long MOT, full service history, mostly with main dealers.11 stamps in the original W8 folder. Last serviced by VAG at 90k.). Finished in special order reflex silver. Black leather interior in great condition, no rips or tears. Optional multi-function steering wheel fitted, electrically adjustable, heated electric memory front seats, electric sun roof, cruise control etc etc. The car has a Westfalia detachable towbar I had fitted which has only been used a couple of times with a small trailer. The car is rated to tow 2.1 Tonnes. I have 2 fobs/keys & a plastic key.
Car comes with pre-registered private plate (W8 8PWR) which is available on retention

The car has proved mechanically reliable with only routine servicing required. The biggest bill was due to a broken spring after hitting a pothole. The car has dry carpets. The body is very straight with just a couple of small parking dings in the passenger front door that some moron gifted me recently. The car is fitted with its original BBS 'Madras' wheels with Winter tyres. 6mm tread.

Other notes - Drivers side rear door pin stays up but the door locks and can be opened from the inside, passenger side front door was always sticky if left for a week but worked fine when used regularly. This has started either not locking or not unlocking every time. The wheels are straight and intact, no kerbing or damage but they do need refurbished. Passenger wing mirror cover has a crack (again some moron in a car park) Drivers seat has slight movement which is due to faulty design of seat runners. Seat is fitted with new nylon roller redress kit to reduce movement to a minimum. Everything else works.
