Hi to all that may be interested.
I have a 1973 build 1974 registered MGB roadster, chrome bumpers, chrome wire wheels, and overdrive. The car was total re build as a retirement hobby over a 10 year period and completed about two years ago to upper class two. It is Spanish registered and right hand drive.
The car was flooded in the Dec 2016 storms, water in the car up to just below the dash. The car was removed and professionally cleaned and dried by a mechanic, with the interior stripped out.
The car was inspected by the Perito and valued in Spain at about 18,000 ¬, and a payment of 8,160 was made to me to carry our repairs. The repairs are electrical and I estimated 3500¬ to replace 90% of all the electrics including wire looms plus 3000¬ for labour with 1500¬ for unknowns.
I feel this could be done for far less, I think many of the electrics will not need replacing.
Because of eye sight problems it is now a good time to stop driving hence I do not have the will to rebuild. Spares are readily available in Spain and the UK and inexpensive. I can organise low cost transport to the UK if required.
I have decided to sell the car as it stands for the best offer over £3000. The cars has full history and photo graphic record of rebuild. The car is in Los Alczares Murcia Spain.
