Sussex Recruitment is seeking an experienced Compliance Manager for our well-established international client to work together with all internal departments to ensure the business is compliant with all relevant H&S legislation and ISO accreditations.

Main responsibilities
Implement and co-ordinate the organisations risk management strategy.
Responsibility for the guidance of the organisations First Aid qualified personnel.
Implement and maintain Business Continuity plans for the organization.
Plan, review, recommend and implement health and safety management systems and practices across the organization.
Work with Department Heads and the ISO Champions team to implement robust processes in line with ISO accreditations.
Work with Field Management and HR/Training to ensure compliance with EN65323 Electrical Safety Standards.
Working with and supporting HR on compliance with General Data Protection Regulations.
Preparation and management of external quality audits as part of the accreditation/re-accreditation process.
Working with Department Heads to complete a robust internal auditing schedule for all areas of the business.

Essential skills and experience
At least 3 years experience in a similar H&S and Compliance role preferably in an engineering environment.
Knowledge of ISO 9001 and 27001 will be essential
Lean Six Sigma experience/knowledge would be an advantage.
Excellent communication skills at all levels, ability to persuade and influence at all levels.
Excellent organisational ability.
Must be decisive and able to prioritise.
