Salary: Up to £60,000 + up to 12% annual bonus + company car
Hours: Full Time 8.00am to 5.00pm, Monday to Friday

About The Role
We are currently seeking to recruit a Plant Manager for our Ewhurst factory. This person will be responsible for a team of 5 direct reports and a site total of 50 employees.
Job Outline:
To provide strong and effective leadership in managing the plant operations at Ewhurst. Lead by example, drive and adhere to health, safety and environmental working practices in accordance with Wienerberger policies and procedures and legal requirements. Ensure effective manufacturing operations that produce to target volumes, yield and efficiency, which delivers high customer service and cost control as well as drive a culture of continuous improvement in order to bring operational transformation and culture change.
Main Responsibilities:
To manage the overall operational activity of the responsible site/factory and take direct responsibility for site wide issues.
Ensure high levels of customer service through delivery of production targets to deliver product availability for pick and sale.
Maintain and improve product quality to required standards and customer requirements.
Ensure an optimum level of working capital within business targets but which ensures suitable and sufficient inventory to service the markets.
Directly lead, manage, communicate, review and develop direct reports.
Strong cost management within budget and forecast constraints and delivering year on year cost improvement.
Developing a longer term vision for the plant to encapsulate full potential.
Identify future training needs and carry out training for your staff and yourself which will assist in the development of a professional and flexible team and maximise the utilisation of resources.
Ensure that HR policies and procedures are followed and adhered to, including carrying out disciplinary action where necessary in conjunction with a member of the HR Team.
Provide a consistent leadership style that promotes teamwork, open communication, can do attitude.
About You
Skills & Experience:
Degree level educated, ideally in ceramics or an engineering discipline.
Minimum of 5 years senior production management experience working in a fast paced production environment.
Strong managerial & leadership skills, especially managing change.
Knowledge of heavy clay technology and raw materials is desirable.
NEBOSH Certificate is desirable. Good knowledge of relevant and current HSE legislation.
Strong organisational and planning ability.
