FOOD MANUFACTURING INDUSTRY VACANCY, RELEVANT EXPERIENCE REQUIRED***
My Client, a successful Food Manufacturing company based in Somerset are looking for a Technical Officer to join their team on a part time basis.
Reporting in to the Technical Manager, your responsibilities will be:
Assist Technical Manager with the development & maintenance of the site Food Safety & Quality Management system, including the updating, writing & issuing of new procedures/ work instructions & record sheets.
Assist Technical Manager to ensure site compliance with customer food manufacturing standards & codes of practice.
Compiling of Technical Key Performance indicator reports for site and company head office.
Maintenance of specification & data sheets relating to Raw Materials, ingredients & packaging.
Customer complaint investigations, responses & trending.
Assistance during customer/ third party visits/ audits & with corrective actions & non-conformance reports (e.g. BRC, customer audits).
Completion of product traceability challenges and summary reports.
Technical administration & assisting with the day to day running of the Technical department.
Site auditing of GMP, HACCP, and QMS to verify compliance to standards.
Assist in Root cause analysis investigation for non-conformances.
Liaising with head office quality personnel.
The ideal candidate will have:
Food Science/Technology qualification
Strong attention to detail, ability to work independently and flexibly, excellent verbal and written communication and a proactive, can-do attitude
Experience from a technical / administration role within food manufacturing
Experience maintaining, reviewing and updating QMS
Excellent computer skills to include, Word, Excel and Outlook.
Familiar with BRC Food Manufacturing Standard
Excellent organisational skills
Food Safety qualified minimum level 3
HACCP qualified minimum level 3
Auditing qualification & experience
Well organised
Methodical
