CARE HOME MANAGER (NURSING) SHOREHAM BY SEA, WEST SUSSEX

CIRCA £60,000 PER ANNUM DOE PLUS BONUS

White Knight Recruitment are working with a leading national healthcare provider of residential and nursing homes throughout the UK. They are looking to recruit a Home Manager for their nursing home in Shoreham By Sea that offers residential, nursing and dementia care for 70+ residents.

The Service -
Following significant investment, the home has a brand new look! The appearance of our home has been carefully designed with the people we care for in mind. Our bright new reception area is the perfect spot for socialising or taking part in one of our many daily activities. Our beautiful new dining room is a wonderful place to enjoy a three-course home-made lunch and our new bedrooms are comfortable and tastefully decorated.

The home benefits from being purpose-built - it is comfortable, airy and well designed. It enjoys a seaside location between Worthing and Brighton, with plenty of local amenities but within easy reach of London, the South coast and the South Downs.

We offer high quality nursing care to frail older people and have a dedicated Memory Lane Community for people living with dementia. With family involvement, personalised care plans ensure that individual and group activities are matched to particular needs, likes and dislikes, promoting independence and community involvement. Dignity, independence and choice are taken very seriously by our friendly and helpful staff, and are reflected in personalised rooms, tailored activities and a very well-maintained home.

Our Memory Lane Community is specially designed for its client group and is staffed by nurses and support workers who specifically chose to work with people living with dementia.

The Role
As Care Home General Manager you will be a role model in everything you do and represent the home professionally with a wide range of stakeholders and external contacts. You will utilise your strong creative and marketing skills to proactively promote the home in the local community, ensuring the high reputation of the home is communicated to potential residents and referrers.

Our residents and their families expect great services, so you will be expected to provide hands-on support and strong leadership to a team who care passionately about the residents in their care. You will do this by inspiring a culture of continuous improvement and robust two-way communication to ensure that residents care and social needs are met in a person-centred way.

As you will be expected to develop the home with a strong, existing team, you must be confident in presenting your vision and creative ideas for the home and support the team to build on the excellent work already done at the home.

You will engage with Divisional and Regional initiatives to support growth of the business and lead your team to achieve maximum performance against commercial and financial goals. You will hold, or be prepared to attain, relevant regulatory registered manager status and ensure the home meets all regulatory and statutory requirements including health and safety and COSHH, in compliance with the appropriate Acts.

Experience Required
·Hold a Registered Nurse qualification with an active NMC pin number
·Possess strong commercial acumen
·Have excellent communications skills
·Demonstrate excellent leadership
·Have a proven track record in the delivery of high quality care
·Hold a good or outstanding CQC report
·Have at least 3 years' experience as a Home Manager in an elderly care home setting of a similar sized home, whether that be a nursing or a residential home
