Abatec are looking to recruit a Contracts Manager for our leading civils main contractor. This role will be based from South Bristol, covering the water network in the local area including planned and emergency repairs as well as scheduled maintenance / replacement. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Operational teams as well as ensuring the team meets the customers contractual requirements.

Key Responsibilities for the Contracts Manager:

Responsible for managing overall performance of the area including, cost, productivity, compliance and contract / client KPIs.
The AM is responsible for managing the delivery team for their area and ensuring proactive communication between the Client, Planners, Supervisors, Network Technicians, Jeopardy Co-ordinators, site support, operational gangs and the clients customers.
High level Management of the contract ensuring daily supervision is in place to supervise and manage the workforce (direct and subcontract labour).
Managing effective and efficient planning of the work, ensuring co-ordination between the schedulers, Supervisors, Site Support, NTs and operational gangs.
Ensure efficient procurement and cost management of depots, vehicles, plant, PPE, materials and contract resources.
Ensuring Traffic Management quotes are accurate and submitted on time to the client.
Effectively reduce accidents and incidents through guidance and coaching of respective team members. Proactively support any areas for improvement.
Undertake frequent depot and site visits, proactive communication with the operational teams and high visibility on site.

Key Skills / Qualifications for the Contracts Manager:

Basic use of SAP
SMSTS, NRSWA Supervisor, EUSR Water Hygiene & Utility SHEA
NVQ Level 4 (or working towards)
NEC Commercial Awareness
Experience in monitoring, controlling and working within R&M site activities
Full understanding of SSOW and development of RAMS. Previous experience of managing people both direct and sub contract.

THE CONTRACTS MANAGER ROLE WILL REQUIRE ENTERING ON TO A STANDBY ROTA.
