Abatec is working with one of the UKs most reputable utilities installation, repair and maintenance contractors to recruit a Quantity Surveyor on a freelance or permanent basis. This position will be based in Blaenau Gwent. The successful candidate will be a standalone Quantity Surveyor looking after utility main laying, network mains renewal and repair, infrastructure (existing and new), often from early stage consultation and tender preparation stages. Abatec's client is a highly regarded firm who are currently enjoying strong and sustained growth within the utilities, civil engineering and construction sectors.

Flexible working arrangements are possible, to accommodate further study or external commitments.

If you are a Quantity Surveyor with experience working within a main or sub contract environment and understand methods synonymous with the utilities sector (sliplining, directional drilling, pipebursting, flow stop etc) please apply now!

As a Quantity Surveyor you will:

Deal with change control
Deal with application / billing
Deal with debt resolution
Deal with subcontract reconciliation

Abatec's client is looking for someone who:

Has experience within a sub contract environment
Is capable of managing 1 or more jobs up to £3M in value
Has a general understanding of methods synonymous with the utilities sector (sliplining, directional drilling, pipebursting, flow stop etc)
