About the role:

The role will be based on a project in a defined geographical area however flexibility within the region will be expected.

Projects are mainly in the commercial, leisure and healthcare sectors

Number of direct reports varies according to project size and number of subcontractors

Responsible for the day to day management of the project team e.g. Site Engineers, Supervisors, QS etc

To help deliver multi-disciplined projects. This includes the overall supervision and performance of the operational project team to ensure that all activities meet the programme, cost, safety and quality objectives of the Project.

Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget to agreed standards

Ensure risks are identified and mitigation measures are put in place.

Effectively manage staff and subcontractor performance on the project by ensuring they have clear roles and responsibilities. Set and monitor targets and standards.

Ensure the project budget and costs are managed effectively for all services.

Promote health and safety on site.

Ensure programme set up and review continually.

Management of Sub-contractors meetings, cost, performance review.

Conduct regular reviews of drawings/document control on site, ensuring the correct versions are being used.

Attendance and technical input at design team meetings

Commissioning and final handover

Background:

Experience in a similar role

Background in Building Services

Experience of working on projects of approx. £5M or over M&E value

Capable of being accountable for the day to day running of the mechanical contract

Experience of managing multiple subcontractors

Experience of client interface
