Purchase Ledger Clerk
Purchase Ledger Clerk required to join an M&E firm based in Hertfordshire. This is a permanent role to start ASAP.
You will be working Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm.
Salary will depend on experience and vary from £23-27k + package
Duties and Responsibilities
Successful purchase ledger clerks will be required to make BACS payments, check and process invoices, reconcile statements, deal with purchase enquiries and calculate VAT payments for invoices. You will be required to:
* Set up new supplier accounts and maintain existing account details
* Process invoices, reconcile delivery notes to invoices received and purchase orders
* Monthly reconciliation of supplier statements
* Assist in the preparation of purchase summaries
* Process all received purchase invoices and match to relevant purchase orders
* Meet deadlines for data processing and financial requirements on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
* Maintain accounting principles, practices and procedures at all times
* Process business expenses
* Process BACS payments
* Identify and deal with invoices queries
Succesful candidates must have:
* Experience as a Purchase Ledger Clerk
* Ability to work in a team
* Strong communication skills
* Good attention to detail
* An aptitude for IT-Good working knowledge MS Office package, Sage and BACS
* Ability to work to deadlines
