Now recruiting for Support Workers in the Tendring and Colchester Areas ***

We are looking for Support Workers to provide care and support, both for adults with learning disabilities and complex needs, and also for older people, in Tendring and Colchester. The roles are mainly for Clacton, but further roles are available, particularly in Frinton & Walton, and Harwich.

Personality and a willingness to learn are more important than experience, as full training will be given (in a state-of-the-art office in the heart of Clacton.)

Clacton is a seaside town, with a great community feel. Great beaches, the famous pier, cafes in abundance, there is always plenty happening. You'll regularly meet other support-workers and People We Support at various clubs and cafes. You'll support people across a range of different services, from Supported-Living Units (currently five in Clacton and one in Harwich), to community based care. Even a Day Centre!

So what will you be doing all day?

You will be supporting individuals to take part in and visit local activities, social clubs, leisure activities You'll be helping People We Support to go away on holiday, to have days out, and in doing so, will not only encourage the People We Support to make decisions and choices about their lives and what they do, but improve your social life at the same time!

You'll be promoting dignity and choice, assisting with personal care where needed, and genuinely being the reason why someone smiles. The work can be challenging but the rewards of supporting people to achieve their goals make every day meaningful.

* Must be available to work weekends.
* Should be available to work a variety shifts from 7.00am until 10.00pm on five from seven days.
* If you are not available for the above times, then we would only be able to offer a "bank" contract.
* Must have an out-going personality, and a willingness to work across all services.
* Driving licence is preferred but not essential.

Price / Salary: £7.05 - £7.50/hour
