Leading UK automation consultancy seeks a skilled Control & Automation Engineer capable at operating at a high level within the company.

The Role

We are looking for high calibre self-starters who are control and automation professionals. Depending on your current level of expertise and career objectives, your role will be tailored around:

? Technical Development of project activities

? Technical Leadership of project activities

? Consultancy Assignment working with customers in providing the expert automation input within a multi-discipline environment

This role requires an understanding of the project lifecycle from concept through to completion incorporating Design Documentation, configuration of PLC/SCADA/HMI software, testing and commissioning.

Project solutions are typically based on Rockwell, Siemens, Mitsubishi, Wonderware, Schneider and various legacy technologies. As part of the team your responsibilities will be primarily the design and implementation of control systems, coupled with the ability to communicate and present well to provide associated advisory services.

Activities include:

? Design documentation

? Control system software design and implementation

? Control system hardware design

? Electrical control panel design (not essential)

? Liaison with clients

? Work as part of a team or alone with senior guidance as required

? Participating in the tendering process

? Report writing and surveying Industrial Ethernet network design and testing

Skills/Qualifications

? Formal engineering qualification ideal

? Solid control system design experience in a similar role

? Have high intellect and potentials to evolve within the company

? Good written and communication skills

? Good interpersonal skills

? Possess an interest in industrial control and automation



Based in the East Midlands, this role is commutable from within and around the following areas: Sheffield, Sutton-in-Ashfield, Chesterfield, Mansfield, Retford and Matlock.

This client also has potential opportunities in the North West region commutable from within and around Manchester, Warrington, Runcorn and Northwich; North East commutable from within and around Gateshead, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Sunderland, Jarrow and Washington, and the South East commutable from within and around Newbury, Reading, Slough, Maidenhead and High Wycombe.
