A fantastic special needs school in Shirebrook is seeking a talented teaching assistant to join their friendly team. This role is offered as a temporary full time contract with the potential to go permanent.

Applicants are required to have a background of supporting children with autism. Experience with other moderate learning difficulties, such as dyslexia and dyspraxia, would also be valuable but is not essential. You will need to be comfortable working with a range of ages as you will be required to work across both the Primary and Secondary site, mainly in small groups or providing 1-1 support.

The ideal teaching assistant will have:

* Experience with ASD
* 6 months experience in a school environment
* A caring and enthusiastic attitude
* Able to work with both groups and one-to-one
