My client are advertising for a Vehicle Shunter at our Gatwick site.

Working Hours
The working hours for this position are 06:00 to 14:30. This position is required to work over a 7 day period on a rolling rota 4 on 4 off basis. A 30 minute unpaid lunch break may be taken. This constitutes a basic average working week of 40 hours.

Main Purpose of the Job
Undertake repairs and maintenance for our client and associated vehicles to the required standard. Adhere to corporate Health and Safety guidelines, ISO 9001 framework and guidelines on vehicle maintenance.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

* Move vehicles and equipment as and when advised
* Assist GSE Technicians in the preparatory aspect of the vehicle movement, if requested
* Navigate, with the use of a map, around airports and to areas of the UK as required
* Travel (via public transport on behalf of the company), to recover vehicles or return to the depot
* To use time scanning system at all times. Report immediately if system is not working
* All non-productive time allocated to the correct job card for authorisation by the Workshop Supervisor
* Carry out, on and off hire inspection in line with manufacturers and company guidelines
* Inform Supervisor of any VOR parts immediately
* Quarantine, label and report all defective tooling immediately to the site Workshop Supervisor
* Assist in all areas of the workshop as and when requested

Experience

* Driving multi type vehicles

* Experience of working in a customer focused environment

* Experience in the vehicle maintenance sector

Qualifications

* HGV Class 2 (Essential)

* Good level of Math's and English
