A large multi national corporation with a big presence and head office based in the UK. Continued development has seen the establishment of a new site in the Milton Keynes area which although part of this large corporation has a friendly family feel.

Supplying a selection of demanding automotive businesses the contract Mechanical Design Engineer will have the opportunity to be a part of this new divisions continued growth and success by joining the business as a Mechanical Design Engineer in an exceptionally busy period.

The Contract Mechanical Design Engineer role:

- Mechanical design with a high degree of accuracy of output within given timelines.
- Design Mechanical assemblies utilising 3D software Creo / Pro E
- Analysis of designs, including basic calculations surrounding tolerance, cost and weight.
- Continuously develop product and assemblies in order to remove problems as they arise either from production or customer requirements.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to deliver updates and make Mechanical Design recommendations.
- Preparation of documentation to ensure conformance with design verification standards.

The Contract Mechanical Engineer Candidate:

- Degree in an Engineering discipline, ideally mechanical engineering but others will be considered.
- Solid understanding and experience of utilising 3D CAD systems, Ideally CREO / Pro-E.
- The Mechanical Design Engineer will have the ability to deliver innovative designs within defined functional constraints.
- Fundamental understanding of hand calculations through the design process.
- It is desirable that the mechanical design engineer has worked with Windchill in a design environment.
