Class people are currently working with an Ofsted rated good school on the beautiful seaside outskirts of Exeter looking to recruit a Secondary Science Teacher.

You will be teaching across and up to KS5 within a very supportive Science department.

* This post is Full time to cover Maternity and to start in January 2018 for the academic year.

The college are looking for a highly committed and motivated teacher who can ensure the continued improvement and development of Science at the College. They are looking for a teacher who can ensure that the Science department is at the forefront of the Colleges approach to continued improvement and development. The department has made good progress in the last two years with a well developed and personalised Science curriculum, a high standard of teaching and learning and improving results profile.

The successful candidate must:

* have a clear, well communicated understanding of high quality, successful teaching and learning

* possess the skills and determination to make a significant difference to the lives of our students

* be relentless in building student self-esteem and encouraging students to aspire in Science

* Experience teaching up to KS5

The School:

The school was last inspected by OFSTED in October 2016, achieving a GOOD judgement with strong direction and clear leadership. The behaviour of pupils in lessons was judged as rarely less than good and often exemplary and the overall achievement of pupils judged as strong.

You will need to:

* Have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a PGCE, GTP or Bachelor of Education.
* The aptitude to nurture learners, encourage and stimulate young people.
* Have strong behaviour management strategies.
* Passion for teaching and education.
* Have a creative approach to teaching as well as being flexible and adaptable.
