Raw Materials Technologist - Initial 6 Months Contract

Location: London

Salary: £24,000 - £27,000

Temporary Contract - Likely to extend.

I am looking for an enthusiastic food lover to join a rapidly growing business in London. The ideal person will be of Graduate calibre, with proven experience in a Quality/Technical environment within Food Manufacturing. Ideally, you will be immediately available as my client is looking for someone to start ASAP.

As a Raw Materials Technologist, your role will be to ensure that customer, business unit and legal requirements for raw materials and supplier assurance are adhered to. You will also need to ensure quality, safety and risk evaluation systems are in place and monitored.

Some key responsibilities include:

* Ensure that all relevant raw materials have appropriate intake specifications
* Complete intake checks on raw materials against the intake specification
* Provide technical support in the escalation or rejections ensuring all rejects are communicated across the business and to suppliers
* Ensure all customer complaints are investigated.
* Carry out microbiological, nutritional and chemical sampling as necessary for the appropriate tests on intake.
* To operate in a safe working manner and support the site/business on continuous improvement relating to health, safety and the environment.

This is an initial 6 months temporary contract with the potential to extend or go permanent. In return, you will be offered a competitive salary, excellent internal progression and extensive training.
