Job Title: Show Portfolio Executive
Location: Christchurch, Dorset
Salary: £25,000 basic OTE £30,000
We are pleased to present this exciting Show Portfolio Executive position with our go-ahead client based in Christchurch.
Role Purpose:
* To sell to clients, both existing and new, in order to achieve the budgeted sales revenue
* Drive new business for all relevant potential leads as well as develop key client relationships
* Ensure existing customers are account managed professionally and upsold where possible
* Work on-site at exhibitions providing assistance where necessary.
* Act as show manager onsite and maintain good relationships with exhibitors to secure re-bookings
Key Responsibilities:
Drive new business -
* Ensure all potential prospective clients are contacted and sold into the benefits of exhibiting at events
* Identify and track all potential business prospects; ensure all potential leads are chased and logged efficiently. Leads comprise of: exhibitors at competitor shows, responses to the mail outs, previous years exhibitors and any relevant leads from trade and specialist magazines
* Ensure every client booked has been upsold into the show guide, any relevant sponsorship opportunities and any additional electrics or stand upgrades etc.
Devise and execute a sales strategy for relevant existing accounts -
* Write and implement an annual sales strategy for show portfolio
* Develop strategies for individual clients (exhibitors) to secure rebooking for future shows (aim is to confirm in advance for the whole show series)
* Effectively manage own diary for the year including key sales times
* Maintain knowledge of any key accounts, including their business goals and ensure accurate and up to date client records are maintained
Ensure you adhere to best practice -
* Quote and record accurate stand prices
* Accurately fill out the relevant paper work e.g. booking forms
* Work with, and support as necessary other members of the sales teams
* Track daily, weekly and monthly personal sales and KPI's as determined by Head of Sales
* Perform any other duties or responsibilities as reasonably requested
Show Management -
* Act as show manager when onsite for all shows in portfolio, ensure all are exhibitors are sold to maximum levels
* Provide feedback and suggestions for improvements to shows in order to drive further sales revenue
* Attend and manage exhibitions including co-ordinating on-site staff, dealing with exhibitor enquiries/complaints
* Attend competitor exhibitions to research new business opportunities
* Ensure all relevant sales collateral relevant for portfolio is up to date and relevant
* Manage day-to-day relationships with relevant exhibitors and promptly respond to queries to solicit further sales to maximise revenue
Carry out other actions necessary to achieve effective sales -
* Maintain up to date knowledge of all company brands and associated companies
* Attend all company relevant exhibitions as mandatory
* Process customer orders and update exhibitor information into the CRM database
Candidate Specification:
Essential Skills -
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Outstanding negotiation skills with the ability to resolve issues and address complaints
* Minimum of 2 years' experience as telesales representative or sales/customer service role
* Proven track record of successfully meeting sales quota preferably over the phone
* Ability to persuade, influence and negotiate effectively at all levels as well as maintain composure during stressful situations and handle rejection
* Proficient in working with IT systems
* Minimum of 5 GCSES (including Maths and English)
Desirable -
* A-level or equivalent higher education qualifications
* Previous experience working within the events industry
* Ability to work weekends and unsociable hours
