Due to expansion, I am seeking a field based Business Development Manager to join a leading, global provider of IT Managed Services, Cloud Services and IT Product Solutions.
With a large and growing customer base, predominantly working with businesses within the Financial Services Sector, Engineering and Oil and Gas industries, my client are now seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to help develop their established business even further.
Due to the nature of the products and services, you will need to have either experience of selling IT Managed Services and/or Saas or Cloud services. You must have a confident understanding of cloud based technology, data storage solutions, IT infrastructure and the benefits of incorporating a managed IT service in to an organisation.
The Role:
As Business Development Manager you will be responsible for just that - Business Development. You will be making contact with new key contacts within the Finance, Oil and Gas, Industrial and Engineering sectors.
You will be arranging appointments with the key decision makers, listening to their needs and identifying the best product or service solution on offer by my client
You will receive some warm leads, however must be prepared to explore your own contacts and generate your own leads as well. If you are not confident in finding your own leads, then this isn't the right role for you.
You will be predominantly field based, and covering the southern areas of the country including London and the Home Counties. Ideal candidate location would be around Northampton, Milton Keynes or along the M1.
The candidate:
The successful candidate for the Business Development Manager role will:
* Have business-to-business sales experience in selling Managed IT Service Solutions /Data Storage Solutions/Saas
* This role comes with a lot of autonomy, therefore you must be confident, organised and disciplined to work alone and achieve your set targets
* You will be a driven, passionate sales person who is motivated by business growth
* Have a full UK driving licence and be happy to cover a large geographical area
* You will be asked to demonstrate where you have been successful in new business sales previously, so if you are not new business focused this isn't the role for you.
The Package:
The basic salary for the Business Development Manager role is from £50k - £70k per annum depending on your level of experience in the sector. You will also receive a very attractive, uncapped commission structure which can top up your earnings to over £100k.
