Solicitor / Legal Executive

We at Cogent Staffing are proud to be a recruitment partner to a specialist legal practice based in Halifax. They are a thriving business and growing organically at a rate which means that they require to take on an additional Solicitor / Legal Executive.

The opening is for a Solicitor / Legal Executive. You will have accountability for your own busy case load and will be very results driven in keeping with the firms forward momentum. Extensive experience in Personal Injury cases with exposure to holiday sickness and housing disrepair is also desirable.

You be doing:-
Dealing with existing, mixed caseload of PI matters and Housing Disrepair
Speaking to clients and other external stakeholders
Pre and post litigation
Having a proven ability to make decisions on legal liability
Assess damages with limited direct supervision
Preparation of reports

You need:-
Demonstrate extensive experience in the legal profession (equivalency to 3 years+ PQE)
Results orientated, driven and self-motivated
Demonstrate a very high level of accuracy and detail
Proficient in basic Microsoft Office applications
Excellent communication skills oral and written
Team worker but capable of taking own initiative
Flexible approach to work

Salary and benefits:-
This position pays up to £35,000 depending on experience
Monday to Friday 09.00 17.00 with 1 hour lunch
21 days holiday + statutory
Managed service building with excellent working environment
