Junior Import Planner / North Kent / £18-21k

My client, a well established organisation based in North Kent, are looking for a Junior Import Planner to join them on a full time permanent basis.

Key Responsibilities

* Responsible for recording any non-conformance
* Plan round trip vehicles, and forward loads to subcontractors when necessary
* Take incoming phone calls from customers and suppliers
* Manage invoice queries credit adjustment, account queries
* Manage new customers/new hauliers and send application forms.
* Responsible for entering cancellation costs
* Responsible to deal with the customer when cancellation costs are necessary
* Undertake "out of hours" duties t provide an effective service to customers
* Check traffic sheet to ensure all loads have been added correctly (dates, times, comments, etc.)
* Increase turnover by taking on extra work, supporting the team when needed
* Communicate with
* Maximise and monitor owner driver run and margin

My client will look at training someone with the right attitude and a strong administrative experience. Any experience working as a Transport planner or in Logistics would be an advantage, as would European language skills and being available to start work immediately.
