Warehouse / Despatch Assistant

Location: Carlisle, Cumbria
Hours: Part-time (approx. 20 hours flexible)
Job type: Temp Perm after 3 months
Hourly rate: £8.00

Working on behalf of a thriving distribution business on the outskirts of Carlisle, we are looking for a hardworking Warehouse Assistant to join their experienced team.

The role:

Accurately picking stock from order invoices
Packing and packaging orders and ensuring they are ready for collection
Administration duties and filing of stock reconciliation reports
Accepting deliveries in and manually checking off stock
Escalating any discrepancies to minimise stockloss
Assisting with stock-takes and creating action plans
Utilising space in the warehouse and making suggestions to maximise storage space

Skills and Experience:

Experience in a warehouse is desirable but not essential
Stock management experience in a wholesale/retail environment desirable
Experience of accepting deliveries and stock reconciliation desirable
Able to work to a high degree of accuracy
Strong numeracy skills and the ability to stay focused
Must be able to learn quickly and work unsupervised
