My client is looking a P6 Senior Planner on a Permanent basis within the water sector based out in Frankley
Reporting in to the Project Director, you will be working within a multidisciplinary Civil, Process, Mechanical & Electrical Design and Construction teams.
Working with Delivery, Project and Site Managers, along with their engineering and construction teams you will be responsible to develop and update resourced programmes and schedule/co-ordinate site teams for all projects within the department, through design notes, WPR sheets and site visits.
Your responsibilities and duties will include:-
* Programme Planning and Management Stage 2 - Stage 6
* Identifies and tracks all changes or potential changes to the agreed construction scope, ensuring that the NEC 3 contract principles are applied and that the impacts are given immediate visibility to appropriate stakeholders
* To ensure accurate and timely planning, including progress reporting, effective measurement of key dates and milestones, stretch targets and critical path analysis
* To receive and understand all project programme data and integrate all construction activities to mitigate potential resource and workface clashes
* Profitability
* Site Team Meeting /site visits if and when required
* Management Information including development and Creation Of Internal and External Reports
* Monitor and Update Project and Programme Information
* Ensure Efficient and Effective Utilisation Of Site Resources
* Creation of As-Built programmes
* Produce Scenario Based Programmes
* Health & Safety
* Personal Development
* To be pro-active and forward looking to support stakeholders in strategic and management decisions
* To communicate potential effects, and advise on impacts to project delivery to stakeholders, with potential solution and identifying risks/opportunities affecting project outturn
* Critically review and challenge the programmes
Skills & Qualifications
* Understand the contracts, the scopes & the deliverables
* Ability to work with colleagues throughout the Group
* Good knowledge of construction and design, and a willingness to investigate and come to a conclusion and integrate it into the plan
* Know the importance of the programme being holistic, containing all interfaces to manage. If task periods are too long, understanding how to measure the progress
* Look for improvements: personal, project and business level
* Leadership skills
* Willingness to present in front of a group, internal or external
