This exciting Secondary Maths / Mathematics Teacher position, available long term (and potentially permanent), starting in January 2018 is the perfect opportunity to join an Ofsted graded 'Good' academy in the Chorley area.

This Maths / Mathematics Teacher position will teach a variable timetable of both Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 groups, to classes featuring a range of abilities. You will be required to plan and deliver engaging lessons that provide challenge and stretch understanding - giving all students the best opportunity to make progress.

This Ofsted 'Good' academy caters for around 500 students - through building a culture of respect and high standards of behaviour they strive to develop young individuals who take pride in their education and role within the school. The school has nurtured a philosophy of reflection and response for staff to ensure that they provide the highest quality education possible. Students are set challenging targets which staff and parents support them in achieving so that they leave the academy with the greatest opportunities available.

When visited by Ofsted, the academy was praised in many areas, with one inspector commenting 'Students are making impressive progress because of the good and outstanding teaching that they are receiving.'

To join the QT team and be successful in this Maths / Mathematics Teacher role you will need to:
* Hold QTS or equivalent qualifications that allow you to be placed in schools
* Have effective classroom management
* Build and develop professional relationships with both school staff and students
* Ensure students learn and follow health and safety procedures
* Be provided with various development opportunities as your career within education flourishes
