SUPPORT WORKERS
SWINDON
£8 PER HOUR + £30 FOR SLEEP INS plus sleep in top up

Ivy Recruitment is currently seeking experienced passionate Support Workers to work with Adults with Learning Disabilities, Mental Health and Challenging Behaviour within either residential or supported living services in the Swindon area on behalf of our client.

Duties may include:
You will support and encourage individuals to remain as active and independent as possible within the constraints of their needs
Helping with daily personal care of individuals under the general guidance of senior staff.
Ensure that personal care is carried out with absolute dignity and respect
Preparing and sharing mealtimes with the individual you are supporting
Assisting with daytime activities such as going to the cinema, swimming, shopping or even a holiday
Accompanying the people we support to attend activities in the community
Assisting the individual with household duties such as shopping and cleaning
Assisting the individual with finance management Accurately keep records up to date

Requirements:
A minimum of 6 months experience of working in care
Happy to lone work
Relevant courses are desirable but not essential i.e. Health and Social Care, NVQ
Good communication skills
The ability to manage challenging situations
A full, clean driving license would be an advantage but not essential
An enhanced DBS check is required for all positions (fee paid by applicant and reimbursed after six months of employment).

Hours of work - Suitable candidates must be able to work across 7 days per week, between the hours of 7 am and 10 pm for early and late shifts and be able to work either sleep ins or waking nights depending on the service you are working within.
