Quality Manager

Location: Midlands (Regular travel to China and availability to work from home)

Salary: £40k to £60k

The company are a newly established business who are making waves in offering leading Aerospace businesses new solutions in qualifying products to confirm their capabilities (i.e. dimensional, microstructure and materials.

The business is already showing success with some leading businesses and they have an ambitious growth program in place for the next 18 months. One of the first requirements they have, is for an experienced Quality Manager to join the business.

Applicants must have experience working in the Aerospace market and have experience with AS9100 standards. NADCAP is desirable but not essential.

The key requirement for this opportunity is implementation as appose to development of systems. As this is a new business, applicants will need to demonstrate skills in the implementation of Quality Management Systems and processes.

The post will involve some international travel over to China and we envisage this being up to a maximum of 4 weeks per trip with approximately 6 trips required in the first twelve months. This is a critical requirement for the role.

Essential requirements:

* Preferably hold some formal qualification in either Mechanical or Production/Manufacturing
* Be experienced in managing processes, improvements and the implantation of a Quality Management System
* Proficient in AS9100, applicants with experience of NADCAP will have a distinct advantage but not essential for the role
* Completion of Quality compliance documentation and generation of reports
* Identify corrective actions and feedback
* Be a confident communicator up to director level
* Be willing to travel overseas
