Job Title: Moderation Administration Officer

The Role:
The Moderation Administrative Officer is accountable for performing and implementing support processes to ensure the completion of Moderation cases to service standards.
The role reports to the Assessment Administration Team Leader and is part of the Assessment Team, working closely with the Awarding and Logistics Team.
Responsibilities:
The post holder will be accountable for performing and implementing support processes to ensure the completion of moderation cases to service standards. Responsibilities include to:
Contribute to the achievement of the agreed targets for the assessment team through implementing the support processes
Implement moderation processes in accordance with set procedures and timelines, ensuring that any issues are reported to the Assessment Administration Team Leader / Head of Assessment
Support the awarding process through the implementation of moderation procedures in line with standards and timelines
Record all requests for moderation and maintain the log and individual trackers ensuring they are up to date at all times
Liaise with the Awarding and Logistics team as required in accordance with procedures
Open, coordinate and close moderation cases in line with agreed procedures
Communicate with accredited course providers and candidates on moderation cases and outcomes
Pass moderation outcomes to the Ethical Practice Team, where malpractice is suspected in internally marked assessment
Monitor and manage the availability of Moderators for internally assessed units ensuring this meets moderation volume requirements
Ensure that all moderation materials are stored securely and storage practices are reviewed regularly
Assist in all moderation queries as necessary providing responses to all queries in a timely manner consistent with policies and procedures
Work in accordance with the Companies ISO9001 Quality Management System and ensure that the requirements are upheld
Contribute to the risk and resilience processes and follow the test planswhich exist for all critical processes
Participate in a culture of learning and continuous improvement through the department and
wider organisation and support change
Follow the requirements of the companies Health and Safety Policy
DECISION MAKING AND AUTHORITY
The role holder will work in accordance with policies and procedures.
The Moderation Administration Officer will be required to make decisions rationally in support of the completionof moderation cases to service standards.
The successful candidates must have the following:
Knowledge of understanding of IT (word, excel, PowerPoint, outlook)
Previous experience within an administration role.
Experience in recording information
Experience of working with policies and procedures
Self motivated
Proactive
Ability to work as part of a team
Professionalism
Well developed communication skills, both verbal and written
Follows procedures and policies
High level of written English
Ability to write clearly and concisely
Problem solving skills
Attention to detail
Must have a valid driving license
