Lamonby recruitment are delighted to representing a leading provider of construction consulting services that have a position for a Principal Structural Engineer.
The successful Principal Structural Engineer will join as established and forward thinking company that specialisms involve Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, Feasibility Studies and Transportation Planning and Highways Design, working within a number of sectors including: Residential, Retail, Data Centres, Energy, Logistics, Education and Commercial.
The successful Principal Structural Engineer will have extensive experience of managing whole design process and leading an effective professional structures team. You will be supported, encouraged and developed to become the best that you can be.
Principal Structural Engineer Role
Maintaining excellent and effective working relationships with the customer and their representatives/advisors
Implementing the company Construction's Strategy and Policies for Sustainability, Health and Safety, Quality, Environmental, Training and Development etc. and acting as an exemplar of the company culture and values
Implementing the Companies Business Management System
Being proactive in the identification and resolution of problems
Supporting initiatives to deliver ongoing continuous improvement
Ensuring that the project works comply with the requirements of the contract specification and drawings etc. and maintaining appropriate records etc. to confirm such compliance
Role Requirements and Qualifications
Ideally Chartered with extensive experience of managing whole design process and leading an effective professional structures team.
Sound experience of liaising professionally with external clients, agencies and other design consultants.
Experience of managing project teams and promoting a positive and effective service offering.
At least 5 years' experience in a similar business sectors including residential, retail, industrial and commercial
Solid understanding of analysis and design codes, standards, criteria and design execution pertinent to structural engineering.
Experience in handling client relations, including significant experience with site visits and client meetings. The ideal candidate will be able to assist with winning additional work for the company.
Full Driving licence
Principal Structural Engineer Package

- £40,000 - £60,000 (dependent on experience)
