Job Summary

Vertical Recruitment are recruiting for an engineering consultancy which due to a recent recruitment drive now have opened an exciting opportunity to recruit mechanical design engineers from 2/3 years' experience through to Senior/principal level to join their established offices in Manchester.
We are looking in particular to secure engineers with experience in high rise residential and commercial facilities.

The main duties for all levels will be the design of mechanical building services schemes and installations to current codes and design practices. The more junior roles will work under supervision of a more experienced engineer whilst the more senior roles will be required to supervise junior engineers as required.

Minimum Requirements

. Minimum of 2/3 years' experience working as a mechanical engineer. Experience within the building services sector is essential.

. UK experience working on commercial and residential projects is a must.

. Candidates for all positions should be accomplished users of some of the following software; AutoCAD, Hevacomp, , Cymap, IES, or TAS. Experience in Revit is also desirable but not necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

We are ideally seeking candidates with a minimum of 3 years building services experience, for Senior roles. Applicants for the Senior positions should ideally be Charted Engineers or working towards charted status. All applicants will already be educated to degree level with a minimum of a BEng in a CIBSE approved course. Alternatively, candidates with Uptime Institute qualifications would also be welcomed. Incorporated engineers with solid industry experience will also be considered

Salary:

Salaries are competitive and are largely influenced by experience, from 28K-50+K per annum for the more senior engineers.
