JOB DESCRIPTION
Electrical Maintenance Technician
Birmingham based- mobile role
Salary uo tp £32,000 basic + benefits
Purpose
To oversee and undertake Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), Reactive repair works, Periodic maintenance and Installation works to Client buildings, Plant equipment and Systems in accordance with SFG20 maintenance standards and where required, in accordance with the latest Edition of the IEE Regulations. To undertake work within agreed service levels, and to provide an engineering response to client site engineering emergencies.
In addition, on occasion, to undertake a range of Planned Maintenance, Repairs to building fabric and M+E services plant including plumbing, HVAC works, BMS adjustments and handyman activities.
Duties include
* Ensure that Electrical Planned maintenance is carried out to all building plant, equipment and systems to meet and exceed expectations and agreed service level agreements in accordance with SFG 20 minimum.
* Respond to reactive work orders
* Undertake Periodic testing activities such as Fire Alarm testing, PAT testing, Emergency Light Testing and fixed wire testing in line with NICEIC Guidelines and Statutory ACOPs
* Ensure that all Electrical engineering subcontractors are appropriately supervised
* Complete Electrical Minor works and Installations to Commercial premises that are fully compliant with the latest Edition of the IEE Regulations and undertake Statutory safety testing and certification as prescribed by NICEIC.
* Complete all other maintenance duties as needed by the client to provide a multiskilled service including basic mechanical and fabric works.
Salary up to £32,000 pa
Core Working Time 8-00am start to 4-30pm finish, with 30 minutes (unpaid) lunch
Overtime Travel time paid at 1.0x
Overtime paid at 1.5x.
Bank holiday working paid at 2x.

The ideal candidate will have:
* Formal City & Guilds training in Electrical services maintenance.
* 17th Edition
* Experience of operating Cooling Towers and/or certified for Maintenance and Operation of Evaporative Cooling Systems and other aspects of L8 water hygiene management
* Sound understanding and experience of meeting health and safety obligations with regard to maintenance activities
* Excellent interpersonal skills
* Energy, enthusiasm and be a good self-starter
