Deputy IT Systems Manager - South London / Surrey * URGENT *
Up to £32,000 (incl. 25 days holiday + bank hols, pension, free use of sports facilities, on-site parking and fee remission)

Our client, a prestigious independent school in South London are looking for a Deputy IT Systems Manager to provide IT support to the whole school and oversee the day-to-day running of a number of key systems including Active Directory, the Office 365 portal and a leading role in organising and monitoring the backup and recovery systems.

Other daily responsibilities will include deputising for the IT Systems Manager, liaising with and supporting the MIS Manager, helpdesk management and support, developing the use of the schools MDM system and ensuring written records of key systems and workflows, are up to date.

Requirements :

- Previously worked within the Education Sector within a relevant senior IT position
- In-depth knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy and Office365
- Windows 7/10 Operating Systems
- Windows Server 2008 R2, 2012 and 2016
- Backup technologies (Veeam) and virtualisation technologies (VMWare, VSphere)
- Wireless systems (Aruba), school filtering (SmoothWall) and VLE (FireFly)

Desirable :

- Experience with SQL/MySQL/Apache systems
- HTML, JavaScript, PHP and XML
- HP SAN, Dell hardware, Firewall, VPN and software administration/troubleshooting
- Knowledge of App development/coding
- Knowledge of creative software (ie; Photoshop, Final Cut)
