Are you a creative tutor who is passionate about working with young people with Special Educational needs? Do you want to utilise your knowledge to engage children with additional needs and raise attainment? This could be the ideal role for you!

This unique vacancy is a temporary part time position starting as soon as possible in Buxton. The SEN Tutor role will involve delivering one to one tuition across core subjects to a year 8 pupil who is currently not accessing education. You will need to be creative with your approach in order to engage the student, while being flexible adapting activities to suit their specific needs.

This specialist education provision offers tuition to students across primary and secondary that need additional support or are not able to access mainstream school settings. They aim to ensure all pupils are successful in reaching their maximum potential through bespoke intervention programs tailored to the needs of individuals. It is vital that areas they are underachieving in are targeted and progression is recorded whilst links with other professionals such as social workers are made.

To join the QT team and be successful in this SEN Tutor role you will need to have:
*Experience tutoring or teaching children of mixed abilities
*Knowledge across a range of core subjects
*Understanding of working young people with SEN
*A flexible and patient approach
*QTS, QTLS or similar teaching qualification
