Are you a Production Engineer from an Electronics OR Mechanical manufacturing background, seeking the chance to put your own stamp on a wide range of cutting edge products for the British transport industry?

You will support the manufacturing operation throughout the entire product lifecycle; launching new products, maintaining production processes & implementing process improvements. You will work closely with highly specialised Engineering teams, Quality Assurance & Procurement departments alike- dealing with design, production and any supplier quality issues.

This is a role within a prestigious company that continually develop & progress their staff. This leading OEM produce lighting solutions for the Transport Industry- as part of a global group, their name is recognized across the world for quality & innovation.

This role would suit a Production Engineer from a Mechanical / Electronics background seeking to carve out a career with a market leading company that are offering technical progression and the chance to have a hands-on influence on emerging products.

The Role

* Production & maintenance of SOP's & test plans to support new products
* Launch products into manufacturing and identify cost reduction opportunities
* Oversee transition from application development into full design and production
* Plan, commission & maintain production processes, test products and complete process trials

The Person

* Background in Mechanical/Electronics Engineering
* Experience gained working within a manufacturing environment
* Ability to read Engineering Drawings
* Based in commutable distance to Southport
