Technical Key Account Manager
Location: Midlands & South
Financial Package: £40,000 basic salary + managers bonus, company vehicle and contributory pension.
My client, a large prestigious commercial vehicle operator is looking to recruit an experienced Technical Key Account Manager to be the key contact for their largest Fleet management customer.
This role will deliver industry leading customer service to meet stringent contractual KPI`s and to maintain excellent relationships at all levels internally and within customer organisation, whilst delivering profitable business to the client and securing business growth and retention.
Key Accountabilities:
Deliver cost savings to the customer through an accident assessment service. Achieving a minimum 10% saving on previous annual spend.
Management of an accident parts matrix with a view to achieving a minimum of 5% saving for the customer.
Management of Repair It Yourself parts ordering to ensure service delivery.
Standardise estimate repairs service levels with authorised repairers to improve uptime and to meet customer standard of repair.
To provide the customer and its stores with technical support.
To deliver innovation to the accident repairs process through planned projects.
To manage the selection and purchase of c200 vehicles within Contract Hire fleet to meet P&L and customer operational requirements.
To deliver end of life sale profitability to both the customer and client.
Taking responsibility for the technical aspects of Accident assessment and related parts supply ensuring customer processes and accident assessment KPIs are met in line with the contract.
Supporting colleagues reduce maintenance spend, through ensuring correct methods of job allocation and warranty control are adhered to.
Delivering Contract Review meetings by providing any relevant information.
To address all accident assessment customer queries, complaints and escalations to ensure a satisfactory resolution for both customer and client.
Completing store and repairer visits where necessary, and actively providing additional support whilst at stores to address issues and enhance customer service.
Documenting any relevant account activity within our CRM System
To identify areas for continual improvement for both customer and client (efficiency, cost savings, training) and supporting internal colleagues and customer to develop solutions through implementation.
To take ownership of the roadmap delivery to meet internal and contractual requirements.
To participate in wider Fleet Management projects as necessary.
To act as a point of escalation including periods of out of hours.
To be successful in this role you will need to be/have:
Technical knowledge of light commercial vehicles.
An understanding of accident repair and assessments requirements.
Successful Experience as Account Manager within Fleet Management.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Proven experience of delivering agreed customer KPIs and service delivery.
Proven experience of budgetary cost management.
Good standard of general education and computer literacy.
Flexible Attitude and ability to work in high pressured environment, prioritising workload and projects to completion.
The hours of work for this Technical Key Account Manager roles are 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday.
The successful applicant will receive a salary of £40,000 basic salary + managers bonus, company vehicle and contributory pension.
