Job Summary:

A leading project engineering business with a number of well recognised clients are currently recruiting for a Buyer / Procurement Manager for Curtain Walling and/or Rain Cladding on a permanent basis. The Buyer / Procurement Manager will be responsible for allocated projects including the raising of all purchase orders and negotiations. Cost management in compliance with project targets and guidelines long with co-ordinating orders for mechanical and electrical components

Responsibilities:

· Supporting multi million pound projects from the acquisition phase to final project delivery in all purchasing related issues

· Coordination of process within purchasing guidelines

· Placing intercompany orders

· Operational purchasing activities for non-project specific also, negotiation and contract management

· Quotation for mechanical and electrical items

· Raising orders for projects and service support contracts

Key skills and experience

· Proven experience as a Project Buyer within an engineering environment / installation of products / services

· Experience with Curtain Walling or Rain screen cladding.

· CIPS or equivalent degree - preferred

· Excellent negotiation skills

· Ability to work under own initiative and to work well under pressure

· Good communication skills both written and spoken

· Stakeholder engagement, both internal and external
