Site Manager

A growing commercial fit out contractor with a full order book and aspirations to work on more complex and largest projects are recruiting for a Site Manager due to an increase in projects they are undertaking.

Based in the West Midlands, they are undergoing a rapid period of growth and due to this they are recruiting for at least two Site Managers.

Most of their work is in commercial fit out but other construction/fit out experience will be considered.

The Site manager role is a permanent position and the company are ideally looking for someone with main contractor experience new build, fit out and refurb in the sectors they are working on.

The ideal candidate would have extensive commercial office (Cat A and Cat B), student accommodation and general construction experience (small extensions, new entrance areas, glazing, cladding, steelwork etc).

As the Site Manager you should be highly driven and very organised and reporting to a contracts manager.

The vast majority of the projects are in the West Midlands and the office currently turns over £12m+.
There would also be requirements to work away outside the West Midlands on occasions.

Duties:
- As the Site Manager you would be expected to understand Risk Assessments, Method Statements and to be involved in the Health and Safety of each site.
- Managing the direct labour and sub-contractors.
- Ensuring the job is running to programme.
- Reporting to project/contracts manager/director.
- Liaising with clients.
- Liaising with procurement/quantity surveyor.
- Ensuring the job is completed on time and on/under budget.

It's a site based role with fit out contracts of a value from typically 100k-£2m.

Package:

Salary is up to 45k and there would also be a company car/car allowance.

Experience:
This would be an ideal position for someone with 5-10 years site manager experience and who is now looking to progress their career.
