Natalie Wood is recruiting for a QC technician to join a silicones, rubbers and elastomers manufacturing company based in Lancashire, on a full time, permanent basis. This role offers a salary of £17,500- £23,000 depending on experience.

As a QC technician, the main purpose of your role will be to work closely with and support the QC team with preparation of custom compound test samples and recording of results.

Further responsibilities of this QC Technician will include:
- Quality Control testing of custom compounds to defined procedures
- Ability to take appropriate action in case of abnormalities &/or non-conforming materials
- Informing relevant departments when non-conforming materials or products are discovered
- Filing & archiving of all QC sample retains, test data and batch documentation
- Own and maintain SOPs for the QC Laboratory
- Preparation of samples for customers
- Customer complaint investigation
- Involvement in Health & Safety projects
- Involvement and implementation of Continuous Improvement Projects for the Laboratory

As a QC technician, you will have the following qualifications, skills and experience:
· Minimum 2 A level/ BTEC or equivalent ideally in a science related discipline.
· Preferably experience in silicone, rubber and/ or elastomer related industry - advantageous but not essential.
· Working Experience in a Laboratory would be an advantage.
· Able to work independently & with own initiative.
· Good communication skills
· Knowledge in MS Work, Excel, PP, Outlook etc.
· You should possess a customer service focus with a positive, professional and flexible approach to work, along with being a team player within a self-managed team environment
