Our client is a well known regional building contractor with a strong reputation and history for delivering quality, innovative construction projects throughout the South-West. Projects typically are within £2-£20m and within this contractors portfolio include sectors such as Accommodation, Leisure, Education, Healthcare, Commercial, Care Homes and Retail.

The Role
Our client is looking for a Pre Construction Manager who can manage all tender activity within the business. Working as part of the Senior Management team this position is instrumental in coordinating business development opportunities, taking projects from expression of interest through PQQ submission, competitive tendering and negotiated bids to contract awarded.

This position is the head of work winning so the successful person will be involved in a variety of aspects of the pre construction process including;

Management of pre construction team (estimating, business development, design management, planning)
Risk Management
Taking the lead in Bid Management
Business Development Activities
Managing work winning pipeline
Ensuring quality, competitive bids are submitted

Whats Required
To be considered for this position the successful applicant will posses;

Significant experience of working on design and build projects, for a main contractor in a pre construction capacity
Background of either Estimating, Design, Planning or Bid Management
Great communication skills
Experience of the full pre construction process to contract awarded
