Key Responsibilities:
·An opportunity has arisen for a Java Developer to work within a global leading manufacturer within the power tools & electronic equipment industry
·The Java Developer will be responsible for contributing to the design of the future architecture for digital solutions in the EMEA region, developing and implementing new digital commerce and work flow solutions for the company and translating application storyboards and use cases into functional applications
·Knowledge of Java development is essential and the Java Developer will need to understand the concept of MVC, JDBC, TDD/BDD and RESTful
·You will Design, build and maintain efficient, reusable and reliable Java code and the Java Developer will need to ensure the best possible performance, quality and responsiveness of the applications
·The Java developer will also identify bottlenecks and bugs and devise solutions to these problems, help maintain code quality, organisation and automation and identify opportunities to improve the current implementations
·Working knowledge of HTML, CCS, JavaScript, XML, XSLT and XPath is essential and you will need to possess a solid understanding of object-orientated programming
·This is a full-time position, based in the manufacturing facility in the South East but the Java Developer may be required to travel within the EMEA region.

Key Skills:
·The Java developer will hold proficient experience of developing Java / J2EE
·It is essential that you understand the concepts of MVC, JDBC, TDD/BDD and RESTful and have experience implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests using tools such as JUnuit
·You will have proficient understanding and use of code versioning tools, such as Git and hold solid experience with popular web application frameworks including Struts 2 MVC and Hibernate skills
·SQL database servers knowledge, such as MS SQL Servers or MySQL, is essential; partnered with experience of HTML, CCS, JavaScript, XML, XSLT and XPath.
·Experience with both external and embedded databases
·Creating database schemas that represent and support business processes
·Knowledge of highly distributed systems and using SOA
·System Development Life-Cycle and using UML to convey/translate technical solutions
·Preferably jBPM / BPMN experience favourable
·Familiarity with build tools such as Ant and Maven
·Experience with NoSQL database servers such as MonogDB and ElasticSearch
·Willingness to learn new systems and new technologies
·You will need good communication skills and used to working in an international team and be able to work independently with limited supervision

Price / Salary: £50000 - £60000/annum
