Are you an experienced teacher who is keen to make a difference? Do you have the patience and creativity to teach a child who finds learning that little bit harder? Are you that special teacher needed to make a difference to a child's education?

We are looking for a qualified and experienced teacher in the Burnham-on-Crouch area to teach a student on a 1:1 basis. The student is 17 years old and working at Level 4/5. He has selective mutism but will talk to people once he has a relationship with them.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to:

- Be creative and different with lessons building them around the students likes and hobbies
- Build a productive relationship with a student on a 1:1 basis
- Move away from conventional teaching practice
- Gain great job satisfaction by making a very noticeable difference to a young person
- Work hours to suit and avoid busy traffic times

This position will be for either 9 or 15 hours per week (consisting of either 3x3 hour or 5 x 3 hour sessions from Monday to Friday). We are looking for somebody to start ASAP and to continue on an ongoing basis.

Due to being an immediate start, it would be advantageous (but not essential) if you have a DBS currently on the online update service.

Our client delivers individual specialist education programmes to young people who are facing difficulty in accessing education.

The children they provide a service to are out of mainstream education for a variety of reasons and include children with special education needs, those in care homes, those with challenging behaviour and those who are under achieving and in need of specialist support.
