Ipswich

£28,000 to £32,000 + Overtime (OTE £35,000) + Company Pension + 25 days Holiday + Progression

Monday to Friday 07:30 to 16:00 early finish on Friday

A Production Supervisor is required for a market leading manufacturing company, who can offer the opportunity to be an integral part of the senior management team and progression into a Production Managers role.

The Production Supervisor role will suit candidates from ANY heavy production/plant/engineering background who have strong supervisory experience. You will be managing the shop floor team of up to 18 staff across 5 areas of the production process including assembly, fabrication and machine shop. The role will be working with the Production Manager to implement KPIs, improve lead time, improving MRP use and improving working processes.

This role has the genuine opportunity to develop into Production management roles and after a successful 9 months to a year it is likely this role is to develop into that.

The Production Supervisor will need to be confident managing engineers and operatives on a daily basis to ensure maximum productivity can be reached and necessary improvements can be made. The Production Supervisor will need to live commutable to the area and be comfortable with roughly 8 hours of overtime a week (paid at time and a half).

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced supervisor to become an integral part of the company and work directly with the Production Manager/Director to improve and develop the company.

The Production Supervisory Role:

* Monday to Friday days role with an early finish on Friday
* Managing up to 18 production staff to improve processes and lead time
* Working directly with the Production Manager

The person required:

* Confident managing engineers and operatives
* From ANY heavy production/plant/engineering background
* Live commutable to Ipswich
* Comfortable working overtime (paid at time and a half)
* Looking to progress within a company and help make improvements
