Do you have a PhD and a strong industry background working within Cellular Screening in the Drug Discovery arena? Are you looking for an opportunity to lead a sub-group with a particular focus on Cell based screening and small molecule characterisation?

My client based in the Cambridge area is a leader within Therapeutic Discovery. Due to continued success, expansion, and the alignment of staff to focused technical areas; they are now seeking a Lead Scientist - Cellular Screening to focus on Discovery projects and the development of cellular screening cascades within small molecule characterisation.

The main responsibilities of the Lead Scientist - Cellular Screening will be:

- To define the cellular screening cascades for the characterisation of small molecule therapeutics.

- Provide leadership to a sub-group within cell based assay development and data analysis.

- Delivery of high quality cellular compound profiling data.

- Work in close collaboration with internal multi-disciplinary research team and external research partners.

- Presentation of key data for internal and external audiences

- Prioritisation of work flow for achievement of project timeliness and goals.

- Line management of sub-team (performance and development)

To be considered for the role of Lead Scientist - Cellular Screening, you will have the following skills and experience:

- PhD in a Biological Science (D)

- Strong Industry based experience within Drug Discovery (E)

- Research experience across areas of Immunology and/or oncology (E)

- Technical expertise within:

- Cell Based Assays (Cell Proliferation, Gene Reporter, Cytokine Profiling, Cell Imaging)

- Experience of Small Molecule work

- Data analysis

- Leading a small team, line management experience (D)

Candidates must have a strong industry based background working on Cell Based assays within Drug Discovery.
