As a Development and Assurance Nurse, you will be assisting the Lead Development and Assurance Nurse to support nursing practice development across the organisation, incorporating evidence based interventions underpinned by regulatory requirements and national and local clinical standards.

Essential Requirements:
* Nursing Degree/Diploma and currently on the NMC Register
* Teaching, mentoring, supervision experience
* Evidence of on-going professional and educational development
* Demonstrable practice development experience
* At least 5 years post graduate nursing experience, with at least 3 of these recently working within a neurological support, or similar, environment
* Clinical supervision experience
* Dynamic and self-motivating, with the ability to motivate others
* Influencing and negotiating skills
* Up to date clinical knowledge, skills and practice
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Up to date knowledge of CQC training requirement
* Excellent organisation and time management skills; ability to multi task and organise self and others
* Excellent inter-personal relationship skills
* Excellent teamwork skills and also the ability to work in isolation
Desirable Requirements:
* Master's Degree in nursing or related subject
* Training Qualification
* Clinical supervision qualification
* Mentorship or teaching qualification
* Expert knowledge in dealing with following areas:
* Mental Capacity Act
* SOVAs/DoLs
* Safer patient handling
* End of Life care
* Dementia Care
* Medication Administration
