Position: Procurement Category Manager - Facilities Management
Salary: Circa £45,000 per annum
Location: Northamptonshire/ Bedfordshire/Buckinghamshire /Hertfordshire area
Our client is a Facilities Management company specializing in the provision of managing agent services within high volume retail environments.
Because of continuous growth, it now requires recruiting a Procurement Category Manager, which will report into the Head of Procurement
As Procurement Category Manager you will ensure the local delivery of quality procurement services and deliver genuine savings
Regular performance appraisals with suppliers and service providers(SLA's/KPI's)
Resolve complex delivery, quality or other related problems with purchase orders and invoices
Negotiate and review prices, terms and conditions and quality requirements with direct suppliers, manufacturers and sub-contractors
Perform value analysis to identify potential cost improvements and develop cost savings
Support sourcing, supplier selection, evaluation and other supplier related activities
Liaise with stakeholders to ensure that business needs from procurement are clearly defined
Support the mobilisation of new national, local and significant contracts awarded.
Attend monthly procurement meetings
Candidates will be a proven procurement professional who has experience working with large, multi-region organisations within the property/facilities management sector
You will clearly demonstrate a track record of implementing and managing large and complex supplier contracts (£30m) with a particular specialism of working with the Mechanical, Electrical and/or Facilities Management service sector industry.
You will be able discuss a successful track record of delivering significant savings on a personal level and providing contributions to wider procurement goals.
You will have strong knowledge of procurement processes and procedures and some knowledge of project management and change management
You will be a natural influencer and team player.
Being a detailed individual, you will have advanced experience in Excel and will be effective with both written and verbal communication.
MCIPS will be an ideal in this role. However other equal qualifications or skills gained by working in similar procurement environments will also be suitable.
FM / contract negotiations experience essential.
